Authorities confirm incident at major energy hub; civil defense crews contain blaze with no reported injuries.
FUJAIRAH, UAE – A fire erupted at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone on Tuesday following a drone attack, the emirate’s media office has confirmed.
In an official statement, authorities reported that civil defense teams are currently working to bring the flames under control. The media office, citing official sources, emphasized that no injuries have been recorded as a result of the incident.
The attack targeted one of the United Arab Emirates’ most strategic energy assets. Located on the Gulf of Oman, the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone serves as a vital storage and bunkering hub, offering a route to market that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz.
While the extent of the damage remains unclear, the swift response by emergency services has prevented any immediate escalation. Security and investigative authorities have launched a probe to determine the origin of the drone attack.
