ChangeNOW Opens Dubai Regional HQ: A Strategic Bet on the Middle East’s Crypto Future

Non-custodial crypto exchange moves into Convention Tower at DWTC, aiming to build local trust, partner ecosystems, and a physical bridge beyond digital-only trading.

DUBAI – ChangeNOW, a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange, has officially launched its new regional headquarters in Dubai at Convention Tower, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The move signals a deliberate strategic shift into the Middle East — a region the company describes as one of the world’s most sophisticated digital asset frontiers.

The new office is not merely an administrative outpost. According to ChangeNOW, it is designed to strengthen face-to-face connections with the partners and developers who drive the platform’s rapid growth. Until now, the exchange operated primarily as a digital-native service. With a physical home in Dubai, the company aims to build trust beyond the screen.

    Why Dubai, beyond the hype

While much of the global economy remains volatile, the Middle East’s digital asset sector is quietly building — backed by high-tier infrastructure and a regulatory environment that increasingly understands blockchain. ChangeNOW says it is not chasing the “crypto hub” label. Instead, the team is looking to embed itself into the UAE’s growing tech ecosystem as a local employer and long-term contributor.

    Leadership perspective

Pauline Shangett, Chief Strategy Officer at ChangeNOW, framed the expansion as a commitment forged in challenging times.

“True leadership is forged in challenging times. While the region navigates current complexities, ChangeNOW is here to provide the partnership it deserves,” Shangett said. “We trust in the people, technology, and spirit of the UAE. Establishing this office is our commitment to cementing this region as the world’s primary hub for digital innovation.”

    A local hub for innovation

ChangeNOW’s technology is built for speed — near-instant swaps across more than 110 blockchains and support for over 1,500 assets. But the new Dubai office is focused on something slower and more permanent: community.

The space is designed as a landing pad for entrepreneurs, developers, and crypto enthusiasts to connect directly with the ChangeNOW team — whether to discuss new integrations or explore the platform’s growing ecosystem.

    Global footprint, local presence

Since its launch in 2017, ChangeNOW has served over 8 million users worldwide. As a non-custodial platform, it never holds customer funds, prioritizing security and user control. With support for more than 70 fiat currencies, it remains one of the most accessible gateways into decentralized finance.

The Dubai headquarters now anchors its Middle East strategy — moving the brand from a global service to a local partner.
