UK-based technology innovator SureFlow has selected Dubai as its strategic base for Middle Eastern and African operations, relocating its Research and Development (R&D) center to the emirate. The company, specializing in AI, machine learning, and IoT solutions for sustainable resource management, aims to deliver its eco-friendly energy devices to regional utility providers, insurers, and real estate developers.

SureFlow CEO Sebastien Dui emphasized Dubai’s unique advantages for the expansion. He highlighted the city’s world-class infrastructure, deep pool of technical talent, business-friendly policies, consistent economic approach, and overall resilience as decisive factors. Dui, drawing on 18 years of personal and professional experience in Dubai, noted the city offers exceptional quality of life, resource accessibility, and a globally diverse skilled workforce crucial for innovation.

“The city’s adaptive, resilient economy actively encourages the technological innovation we need for global expansion,” Dui stated. “Dubai serves as the perfect gateway. We plan to model our manufacturing and R&D here, using it as a springboard to establish local production units and spread our successful in-house approach across Europe and worldwide.”

The company’s flagship product, the AI Energy Suite, utilizes artificial intelligence and eco-technology to optimize energy consumption, lower costs, and reduce carbon footprints for consumers and businesses. Initially targeting European insurance markets (Belgium, France, UK), SureFlow reports strong interest from utility sectors (electricity, gas, water) and renewables (solar, EV) across the Middle East. The company is actively engaging with UAE utility providers and major real estate developers, with new UAE-developed technologies and patents slated for release in Q4 2025.

    Addressing Regional Demand and Challenges

Dui reported a “tremendous response” in the Middle East for the AI Energy Suite, which can help users save 15-20% on utility bills through efficient consumption and waste prevention. Inquiries are flooding in from private developers, facility managers, hospitality groups, and government entities.

For real estate developers, Dui stressed the technology is evolving from a luxury to a core market need. “In a region facing energy costs and water scarcity, integrating utility optimization from the ground up is a major selling point,” he explained. “Developers can market energy-efficient, cost-saving properties, future-proofing investments for sustainability-conscious buyers and tenants.”

SureFlow sees its technology as uniquely positioned to tackle the Middle East’s significant challenges, particularly high cooling energy demands (60-70% of total consumption) and water scarcity. The company emphasizes its solutions provide scalable, smart technology enabling real-time monitoring, automated efficiency analysis, and actionable insights for households, communities, and smart cities.

    How the Technology Operates

SureFlow’s system employs IoT sensors and AI analytics to continuously monitor entire utility infrastructures and consumption patterns within a home. By learning usage trends, the system delivers real-time alerts and recommendations via a mobile app (or corporate dashboard), helping prevent over-consumption, leaks, infrastructure damage, unexpected bills, and unnecessary maintenance costs.

Functioning as a 24/7 utility alarm system, it empowers smarter decisions for bill savings. The technology also includes monitoring and automation for optimal scheduling of solar panel usage and smart electric vehicle charging. A key advantage is its retrofittable design, requiring no modifications to existing installations, enabling easy DIY setup even for tenants.

Following positive receptions at major international expos like COP28 and GITEX, SureFlow is actively pursuing strategic global partnerships, starting in Europe, to meet rapidly growing worldwide demand for its sustainable utility solutions. Founded in the UK in 2022, SureFlow is dedicated to transforming resource management and enabling sustainable living through informed decision-making.
