The sustainable, solar-powered FBO facility, developed with Falcon Executive Aviation, will directly serve the upcoming Wynn resort and is slated for a Q1 2027 debut.
Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is elevating its private aviation game with a major expansion designed to cater to the emirate’s booming luxury tourism market. A new agreement with Falcon Executive Aviation will see the development of a bespoke VVIP terminal and private jet hangar, directly supporting the influx of high-profile guests expected with the 2027 opening of the $3.9-billion Wynn Al Marjan Island.
The strategic partnership, announced at the Dubai Airshow, involves Falcon Executive Aviation developing and operating a comprehensive Fixed Base Operation (FBO). The facility will feature a sleek 1,500-square-meter terminal complete with a Royal lounge, four VVIP lounges, and premium hospitality areas. The airside setup will include a helipad and dedicated space for future air mobility vehicles, while an 8,000-square-meter hangar will accommodate everything from mid-size to ultra-long-range private jets.
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation, emphasized the project’s strategic role, noting it “reinforces the emirate’s aviation infrastructure and aligns with our vision to attract high-value visitors and investors.”
A standout feature of the project is its commitment to environmental responsibility. The entire facility is targeting a LEED Gold certification, integrating solar power to cover 35% of its energy needs, utilizing fully electric ground equipment, and being equipped for Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
Scheduled for completion in 15 months, the new VVIP gateway is set to open its doors in the first quarter of 2027, perfectly aligning with the emirate’s ambitions to become a leading destination for luxury travel and investment.
