The World No. 4, buoyed by his FedExCup and Ryder Cup triumphs, sees this week’s DP World Tour Championship as the perfect finale to a dream year.

DUBAI – Tommy Fleetwood arrives at the DP World Tour Championship with a palpable sense of anticipation, believing his landmark 2025 season could culminate with a long-awaited victory on his home course.

The English golfer, who resides in Dubai, has twice been a bridesmaid at the event, finishing second in 2019 and 2023. But with the confidence of a first PGA Tour title, a Ryder Cup victory, and a recent win in India, he feels ready to complete the narrative.

“This will be an amazing way to finish, for sure,” Fleetwood stated. “It would be very special to be on the 18th green having won… I’ve probably had a couple of chances in this tournament over the years. I’d like to present myself with a few more.”

Rather than dwelling on his playoff loss to Aaron Rai in Abu Dhabi last week, Fleetwood is channeling the momentum from a performance where he carded four superb rounds. He views it as another sign of his consistent, high-level play.

“It’s easy to just feel that disappointment when you come so close,” he admitted. “But for me, [there were] so many positives… another really, really good week.”

Now, with his family in tow and the familiar fairways of Jumeirah Golf Estates ahead, one of the Tour’s most popular figures is poised to turn his local knowledge and peak form into a triumphant homecoming.
